I am having my secong annual "En Plein Air" exhibition on August 28th and 29th. There will be several artist displaying along with me in the garden. It will be an enchanting garden party with italain concerto music, flowers, refreshments, and beautiful people.

There will be artwork on display from travels through Greece, Vancouver, Victoria, Peru, Spain, and the Rocky Mountains.

My week sailing around the different islands in Greece turned out to be a motoring trip instead. There was no wind the first week in July, the ocean was still like glass and dolphins were easy to spot.

The islands looked bone dry and the little vegetation that there was had the color of dark sage. The landscape showed clear indications of attempted stone terracing along the hillside but lack of water has left it desserted. I had to look hard to find the colors of the earth-yellow ochre, milk chocolate brown, sage green, and lavendar flowers sprinkled on top. The purple and yellow ochre played with my eyes and touched my heart with inspiration.
